  1. Superintendent’s Report:

Mr. Anastasio said based on what is known today, students will be in school full time and in person this fall.  Social distancing is not required, which will allows more students in the classrooms.  Right now, the CDC is recommending that all staff and students who are not vaccinated wear masks.  The expectation is that students K-5, who cannot be vaccinated, will wear masks. The responsibility for children wearing masks should be reinforced from the home.  There are no plans to have a formal remote component this year.

  1. Assistant Superintendent’s Report:

Ms. Grondin said today was the first summer administration meeting.  The team meets three times in July to look at new learning and team building. Today the team looked at the celebrations of last year.  Next Wednesday’s focus will be on Trauma Informed Schools and new learning around Critical Race Theory.  The last Wednesday they will be working on calibrations around the teacher evaluation system and also focus on Tier I so all students have opportunities to learn our core curriculum.  Summer school is continuing.  Cony has recovered 100 credits in their three weeks of summer school.  The elementary summer school has started and there are 80-85 students participating. The gifted and talented plan will be update next week.  The Lau plan will be updated as well.
