  1. Job Description

                 Special Education Administrative Assistant

Shelby Thibodeau, Special Education Director shared that after some discussion, it was decided to separate the two roles of Special Education Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.  The person who is in that position would become 100 percent special education administrative assistant and will relocate to Cony.  The position for a receptionist in Central Office will be advertised.  Attached is the new job description.

Motion by Pia Holmes to accept the job description, second by Kimberly Martin, so moved 2-0. 

  1. T-PEPG Recommendation:

In response to the new law, “An Act to Delay State-Mandated Teacher and Principal Evaluation,” which states that school units are not required to evaluate teachers or principals during the 2021-2022 school year (except that teachers in their second probationary year must be evaluated), the district’s Teacher Performance Evaluation and Professional Growth Committee is recommending that probationary teachers continue to be evaluated following the handbook guidelines and that there is a pause in the formal evaluation of continuing contract teachers.  Principals will still give teachers informal feedback through walk-throughs and teachers are encouraged to continue to work with peers to improve teaching and learning.  There are still processes in place for teachers that are experiencing difficulty.

The committee discussed the T-PEPG recommendation.  They would like the recommendation included on the board agenda as an informational item.
