Registering Grades 7-12

Cony Middle and High School

Cony Middle School offers a robust curriculum designed to prepare students for high school. Core subjects include English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, with a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students have the opportunity to explore various subjects through Unified Arts courses such as art, music, technology, physical education, and foreign languages. Comprehensive support services are available, including special education, counseling, and intervention programs to help students succeed academically and socially. A wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports, clubs, and after-school programs, encourages students to explore their interests and develop new skills.

Cony High School offers a diverse curriculum with advanced placement (AP) courses, honors classes, and dual enrollment options through partnerships with local colleges. This allows students to earn college credits while still in high school. Juniors and Seniors at Cony are also able to apply for a spot within the connected Capital Area Technical Center which offers CTE programs in various fields. Cony High School has a strong arts program, including visual arts, drama, and music. Students can participate in band, chorus, theater productions, and art exhibits. Cony's athletics program has a variety of sports teams, including soccer, basketball, baseball, track and field, and more. Numerous clubs and organizations, such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, and various interest-based clubs, provide leadership opportunities and foster a sense of community within the student body. The guidance department supports students with academic planning, college and career counseling, and personal development. Counselors assist with college applications, scholarships, and career exploration.

The Augusta School Department values strong connections with families and the community. Cony Middle and High School regularly host events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and cultural events, to engage parents and guardians in their children's education. Community partnerships enhance the educational experience, providing resources and real-world learning opportunities.
