A grant from the Maine Environmental Education Association was awarded to Cony High School teacher Brenda Weis as part of a push for increased bike ridership. Brenda Weis has since bought bicycle helmets and parts to 'get kids on bikes, on the roads, on the trails, and bring the love for bikes back into their lives.' Tom Holzwarth, a teacher at the Capital Area Technical Center, has joined forces with Brenda and expanded the project to include a bicycle repair shed.
