The Augusta School Department is pleased to announce the expansion of our Building Committee for the new school construction project. As many community members are aware, Hussey Elementary School is slated for closure, with plans to construct a new educational facility in Augusta.
We believe it is essential for all voices in our community to be represented throughout this important process. Therefore, we are currently seeking additional representatives to join the Board's Ad Hoc Committee for new construction.
The School Board has determined that the following representatives are critical additions to the committee, which already includes Board members and the Superintendent:
Teacher who resides in Augusta
Two Parents (one from the East Side, one from the West Side)
The Mayor or a City Councilor
City Staff member
Augusta School Administrator
ASD Director of Buildings and Grounds
Augusta business owner who resides in Augusta
