Transportation Information

First  Student
Caring for students today, tomorrow, together

Dear Parents,

As the new school year begins, there is nothing more important than providing your child with safe and reliable transportation. We appreciate the opportunity to serve your family.

School buses are the safest way for students to get to and from school. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, school buses are 23 times safer than passenger cars and 10 times safer than walking.

There is an entire ecosystem of safety around school buses. This includes road signs, traffic laws, the size, weight and construction of the bus, and the skill of the driver.

It also includes you. We encourage you to review school bus safety tips with your children to make the journey to and from school even safer. For additional downloadable back-to-school safety tips, please visit firststudentinc.com/parent-resources.

With the industry’s strongest safety record, First Student does its part as well. Drivers typically complete more than 50 hours of training before driving student passengers. You have to have more training to drive a First Student bus than fly a plane!

Because students start and finish their school days with us, we recognize the opportunity we have to impact each student’s day in a positive manner. We are looking forward to a safe and successful school year together.

If you have any questions about your child’s transportation, please call  First Student directly at 626-3570.

Sincerely,

James Anastasio
