No School on Monday, January 15 due to the holiday.

Due to inclement weather, all Augusta Schools are closed today, January 10th, 2024. All offices will open at 11am.

Winter weather is definitely here! Please be sure that your student is dressed warmly for recess. We go out each day unless the wind chill is 10 or below. Boots are needed to walk on the snow and ski pants if playing in the snow. It helps if you label outwear with their name.
Please contact our LCPC, Nicky Sawyer, if you are in need of coats, hats or mittens. 626-2480

We are going to offer Farrington families the option to get a free school breakfast and lunch at Cony today (Thursday) between 10-11:30 at the main office entrance. Children must be present when picking up meals. The Farrington Kitchen crew will be handing out the meals.

We know many homes are still without power and the flooding has caused major damage across the city. You are in our thoughts, and additionally we thank maintenance and custodian crews who have been working endlessly to care for our schools. Most Augusta schools have had power restored and are ready to welcome students back. There will be school on Thursday, 12/21/2023, for all schools except Farrington Elementary (which is still without power).

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for dangerous road conditions and ongoing flooding, all Augusta Schools will be closed tomorrow 12/20/2023.

Augusta Superintendent Search Community Forum at 6 pm on Monday the 11th at the Lithgow Library.
You are invited to attend an Augusta Superintendent Search Community Forum. The Forum is for parents, community members, city elected officials, school staff, students and will be led by Steve Bailey, Executive Director of the Maine School Management Association who has been hired to help lead the search process.
Typically, these forums last 60-75 minutes. This session has been set up to have you engage in a few questions to help identify skills, qualities and characteristics you think will be valuable for the next superintendent to have. Anonymous responses will be recorded and collated into a report that the Augusta Superintendent Search Committee will use to help identify candidates they will want to interview.
Thank you in advance for your interest and participation in this Community Forum. Should you not be able to attend this listening session, you can also provide feedback within a survey you’ll have access to which will address the same topics discussed during the listening sessions.
