And they’re back! Cony students spent the last 18 days exploring Germany and Austria. They went to the tops of mountains to the salt mines within those mountains. They saw Berlin by boat and bike, and travelled by subway, train, bus, cable car, funicular and of course by foot through Munich, Berchtesgaden, Füßen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Dachau, Puchheim and Salzburg. They gave presentations about Maine, Augusta and Cony to students at our partner school, teaching them about such things as our Cony song, our school cheers and Chizzle Wizzle. Our students stayed with host families, enabling them to learn about German culture firsthand. Another great exchange in the books - an experience these students won’t soon forget.

Eleven Cony students, accompanied by Frau Backman and Frau Davis, are off to Germany as part of the German American Partnership Program. Students will spend a few days in Berlin before heading to Puchheim, where they will stay with a host family for two weeks. They will attend school and go on a variety of field trips to learn more about German history and culture.

Special thank you to the Project Graduation 2025 committee for putting together an amazing evening for our seniors...also, thank you for all of the businesses who supported the event with donations of goods and financial support!
