Using simple materials and a lot of trail and error, students in Krystal Savadge’s STEM class are building balloon- powered vehicles. This is a true students-led class where ingenuity and hands-on experience guide student learning. Failing and re-trying are features here as students compete for bragging rights on Ms. Savadge’s board.

Multilingual teacher Ms. Moore invited our School Resource Officer Nick Sterling to her classroom. Officer Sterling challenged students in a "50 state blooket" competition. Officer Sterling did not win!

Students in Emily Pease's Honors Algebra 1 class are learning how to solve mathematical inequality word problems. A mathematical inequality shows that two amounts are not equal, and instead one is bigger or smaller than the other. For example: The time to take the test was between 6 and 7 minutes = 6

Gardiner vs Cony football game tonight. The football players give their favorite staff member their jersey to wear during the school day! Go Rams! Mr. Kenney sang the school song today!

Thank you so much to the Knights of Columbus for their donation to our Cony Cupboard run by our Cony Teen Board. The cupboard is typically stocked with food for our students who need it. We were running out of food! We truly appreciate their generosity.

PE2 teachers Alycia Nored and Don Plourde are helping their students build teamwork skills through competitive games like “cone flipping.” In this activity, the first team to flip all of their cones upright wins, which is much harder than it looks! These games encourage students to communicate and collaborate, building trust that carries over when they face challenges together on the ropes course.

Attention all Middle School Winter sports players and parents/guardians!

Students in Jeff DeJongh's Introduction to Robots class are learning how to program robots. This lesson's objective was to program the robot's distance sensor to find objects and the optical sensor in order to push objects off of the platform without the robot falling off the side.

Students in Darren Joyce's Issues of Modern Times class are learning not only about current events but also how to discuss them thoughtfully. They research topics, develop arguments for or against various issues, and debate in class using established norms. The class has become so popular that students are forming an interest club on Current Events & Debate Club at Cony.

The Cony Key Club is hosting their annual Calloway Coffeehouse on Oct. 23rd! All are welcome to see this special event. Donations are accepted at the door. All donations go to the Family Violence Project.

We are so excited for our Fall Aspirations Day 2025 at Cony Middle and High School. Every grade level has scheduled activities focused on preparing them for their futures! This is happening on Tuesday, October 7th! Go Rams!

8th grade teachers Mrs. Dauite and Mrs. Jackman took all of their classes out for a cross-team outdoor activity where students completed a scavenger hunt by making qualitative and quantitative observations. It was lots of fun!

Cony German students Molly Dennett and Alex Karagiannes, along with their German teacher, Deborah Backman, are spending their weekend at a soccer-themed German immersion camp in Estes Park, Colorado, in anticipation of the upcoming 2026 World Cup. They are joining 34 other students from PASCH schools from across the US, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and Canada. As one of only 14 PASCH schools in the United States, Cony students receive awesome opportunities such as this weekend to use their German outside of the classroom, thanks to the support of the Goethe Institut.
