Congratulations to our Cony Middle School and High School students on their performances at the Maine Music Educators Association District Three Jazz Festival performances!
The Career Center at Cony is an outstanding resource for students. It is located in the Guidance Office and is off of the food court. Our Career Development Facilitator, Lisa Plourde, supports Cony students in every aspect of post-secondary planning. She guides them through college and scholarship applications, assists with the FAFSA, and regularly brings in representatives from colleges and universities, military branches, and local employers. Whatever path a student chooses—college, military service, or entering the workforce—Mrs. Plourde is there to help students find resources to help them. Mrs. Plourde coordinates the Olympia Leadership program. She also provides career planning education in 10th grade English classes among many other job responsibilities.

Congratulations to the new inductees of Cony's chapter of the National Honor Society!
Students from Mrs. Savadge’s STEM class traveled to Bangor to participate in a mission at the Challenger Learning Center of Maine. Each student was assigned a specific role, simulating the work of NASA team members, and collaborated with their peers to complete a shared objective. Roles ranged from biologists to navigators, and students were challenged to carry out their responsibilities while adapting to unexpected situations.
They also had the opportunity to experience both ground control operations and life as astronauts working aboard a spacecraft. It was an engaging, hands-on experience that brought together STEM concepts, space exploration, perseverance, and teamwork!

Some of our students and their teachers celebrated Thanksgiving together with an amazing meal in their classroom! Special thanks to the staff who made this happen!
Liberty Oko’s Honors Biology class has recently been studying genetics. Students learned that an Austrian monk named Gregor Mendel discovered the basics of genetic principles, such as dominant and recessive traits, through experiments with pea plants long before much was known about DNA.
Students in Mr. Totman’s U.S. History class are learning about Hitler’s early years and exploring the factors that shaped his political ideology. The atrocities committed by Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich continue to shape American political, social, military, and cultural history today, serving as a powerful reminder of the devastating consequences.

Our student organization Sources of Strength hosted a Gratitude Wall where students posted what they are grateful for!
Cony Guidance and CATC hosted a College and Career Fair on Friday in the Cony gym. Every CATC student and Cony student went through the fair. Cony students completed a worksheet related to their experience! Thank you so much to all of the businesses, organizations, and colleges who joined us for this event! Several area schools joined us for the fair as well.
Thank you to Lisa Plourde and Stephanie Turgeon for coordinating the event and the entire guidance department for making it happen! Also, thank you to our custodial crew, under the direction of Jon Stonier and Matt Peterson, for setting it up and then taking it down quickly so we could have the Pep Rally! Thank you the yummy food for the area presenters. This was made possible by our MELMAC grant
Yesterday Cony played Westbrook in the Class B State Championship game. Although we lost, we are so proud of our Cony team for a Ramtastic season! It was amazing to see the school and community support for this very, very talented team! Thank you for giving it your all.
Thank you to the Football team and their coaches under the direction of BL Lippert, band, cheerleaders, fans, AD Maines, staff, parents and guardians, and the Augusta community. We are so lucky to have a wonderful Cony football program and community.
