Administrators from the Augusta School Department and staff and teachers from Gilbert Elementary School had the incredible opportunity to attend an educational expo at the renowned Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.
The energy, passion, and innovative practices we witnessed have left us truly inspired and fueled with new ideas to bring back to our students and schools. We’re excited to take what we’ve learned and turn that inspiration into action!

Due to the timing of anticipated inclement weather, all Augusta Schools will have a Remote School Day tomorrow, Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Based on weather reports predicting icy conditions during the morning commute and typical bus routes, a two-hour delay is not a viable option. Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
As a reminder, a Remote School Day means that while students and staff will work from home, it remains an instructional day.

The Cony Nutrition team had a blast whipping up some treats for the 2025 Superintendent's showcase last week! Hosting all our awesome guests while showing off some cool innovations from around Maine was such a pleasure. The event was truly amazing!

Due to anticipated inclement weather, we are prioritizing the safety of our students and enacting an early release today, 3/24/2025. Cony Middle and High School will dismiss at 10:45am. Elementary schools will release at 11:45am. Additionally, Gilbert’s Pre-K has been cancelled. Stay safe, and thank you for your cooperation.

Introducing local, Maine-made whole foods to our students right in our school cafeteria has been absolutely amazing! Nick from The Good Crust swung by Sylvio Gilbert on March 7th to share his passion for pizza. Want to know more? Head over to the Nutrition page!

Check out the Augusta Schools Nutrition page for all the latest updates. We have been whipping up some fun!

Huge thanks to Aroma Joe’s for fueling our teachers during their March professional development workshop! We truly appreciated the Rush and were feeling energized to learn and grow today. Your support means so much to us! Thank you!

Good luck to all the CATC students competing in the Skills Competition tomorrow! We’re proud of your hard work—now go show everyone what you can do!
