If your child will be 4 years old on or before October 15, they are eligible to be in our PreK program. Call or stop by the Central Office for more information! Fill out the enrollment packet online at augustaschools.org/o/aps/page/elementaryregistration

The Augusta School Department is seeking substitutes for the 2024-2025 school year. We are hiring substitute teachers, educational technicians, nurses, school secretaries, custodians, and food service workers. We are also pleased to announce a new pay scale effective 7/1/2024. Visit the Augusta School Nutrition program page for more information in regard to our Summer Food Program. The State has rolled out a new program called Sun Bucks, locations and times are listed, and the summer menu is located there as well. Our hope is to continue the success from previous years and continue to provide nutritious meals to our community.

Thanks to a grant from Maine Environmental Education Association, Outdoor Education was able to put more students on bicycles this school year!

What an incredible evening we had at our District STEM Night! We are overjoyed by the turnout and enthusiasm from our community at last night's event. Dear Parents, We recently received good news from the Maine Department of Education who approved a waiver of some of our snow days. This means that the last day of school for this academic year will be on June 11th, 2024. As with prior years June 11th will be a special early release day for students. Cony will release around 9:30am and the elementary schools will release around 10:30am. As we approach the end of the school year, we encourage you to check with your individual schools for the specific daily schedule regarding activities and any other details related to the last day. The 2023-2024 calendar on our website has been updated to reflect this information. You can also access the 2024-2025 SY calendar on our website or mobile app. Thank you, Augusta School Department
